The Tourismus & Marketing Oberhausen GmbH (TMO) is the company that handles marketing measures for the City of Oberhausen. Principal partner is the City of Oberhausen which owns 90% of the company. The municipal savings bank “Stadtsparkasse Oberhausen” has a 10% share. The company consists of the three units Tourism, City Marketing and City Promotion/PR.

Responsibilities of Tourism:
Drawing up the tourism-related product City of Oberhausen
Marketing the tourism-related product City of Oberhausen
Sector-specific formation of networks and internal marketingServices (operation of Tourist Information office with information, room reservations, ticketing and merchandising)

Responsibilities of City Marketing:
City management
Event management
Development projectsIdentity and image promotion
Public relations
Cooperation with neighbourhoods

City promotion
Public outreach
Media production
PR services
The TMO has a staff of 17 employees at 2 locations.
